Our experience in teacher training

Being a teacher is the most beautiful profession in the world. Supporting teachers in their development and professional growth has been Anna Gębka-Suska’s real passion for many years. In her work as an academic director in one of the leading language schools in Poznań the 4ELT Director ran numerous courses and workshops for teachers of English, among others in the Teacher Training College in Poznań (NKJO, 1998) and at IATEFL Poland and PASE conferences. Her two most innovative presentations are about developing teachers through a set of coaching questions, the so-called „999 Questions for Caring Teachers” and about placement testing by means of using pictures and captions, the so-called „4ELT oral placement tests that take only 6 minutes”.

Anna Gębka-Suska has a vast experience of training teachers abroad. She ran workshops at methodology conferences in Great Britain (1996, 2005, and 2008) and in China (2005). In autumn of 2008 she taught at a two-week intensive teacher training course in CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) for primary state school teachers in Spain (for the Ministry of Education, Castilla y Leon), and in February 2009 she ran a workshop in feedback for ELTABB in Berlin. see the report form that event
